A great weekend.

Friday night, Hebron put the hurt on Frisco Centennial. Had a chance to hang around some of the high school band guys, and that was fun. The people I knew are grown up now, and there’s a ton of new faces, so it was a little stranger than last year, but still fun.

Saturday morning, me and my dad made our way over to the Ballpark, where Chrysler was sponsoring what they called an “Inspired Drives.” Basically, they had their SRT rides (the Crossfire SRT6 and 300C SRT8) and a couple PT Cruiser GT’s out there on a couple different driving courses. One was a simple dragstrip with a couple PT Cruisers… semi-lame, because even the GT version of the PT isn’t all that much fun do drive. Another course was a “professional course,” and a “professional driver” would drive the car (choice of Crossfire or 300C) around the course - that was awesome. They weren’t so much as driving the car, so much as they were powersliding every corner and burning as much rubber as possible. There was another course that was similar, but instead of a “professional driver,” I drove. Oh. My. It was amazing. I drove both the Crossfire and the 300C… to throw a car like that around the corners and at high speed… wow. Wish I could do that with my car… legally… oh well. So that was a blast - thanks, Dad.

Later on Saturday, I had the opportunity to go to IKEA for the first time… that place is massive. I spent about 2 hours there, and could have been there longer were it not for me and my feet getting tired. It was amazing though… I could stock my future house exclusively with IKEA furniture. No kidding. And it wouldn’t hurt my (future) bank account to do so either, since their stuff is not expensive at all.

For those of you worried about the meaning of the post title… heh. We (being me, my brother, and my dad) were walking around IKEA, and me or dad (I forget which) wanted to go a certain direction, and my brother says, “You can’t go that way, you’re going against the arrows.” But seeing as how it was so loud in there, and how I had just seen some Arabs, my brain heard, “You can’t go that way, you’re going against the Arabs.” Oops. Good for a laugh though.
