It’s been semi-productive day?
Went to church this morning at University. Today, for the first time in a very long time they used their baptistry, which was awesome on many levels.
Lunch was tortilla soup. How I have come to love tortilla soup. Surprisingly, the Caf’s tortilla soup isn’t half bad (when it’s not just broth and oil).
Then, I spent my afternoon sunglasses hunting - and succeeded. I may end up buying another pair (I had two pair, but broke both of them recently)… but I like these because they’re really dark, or rather, they’re darker than most I’ve found.
Next on my afternoon escapade was a car wash. (Side Rant: It annoys me how people say “I went to get a car wash.” No you didn’t, because it’s not like you brought the car wash home with you, now did you? No… end rant.) I was a little skeptical about it… how can a machine wash a car (and do a good job) without touching it? Answer: pressure washing. It actually did a decent job; I was impressed. On a deeper level, I conquered my fear of the car wash. As a little kid, there was something about driving into a tiny building and getting water sprayed at you but not on you… and those huge spinning brush things (before the miracle of the touchless car wash was invented)…
Dinner was at Texas Roadhouse. I’d never been, but wow… the bread and that cinnamon butter… amazing. All I had was a salad and those rolls… mmm…
Then I saw Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire. What a movie. Very powerful and moving. Sad, yet funny; somber, yet joyful - one of the better movies I’ve seen in a while. Besides, according to Lindsay, Ron Weasly is “hott,” and who am I to argue with her?
That’s all for now I suppose. Y’all have a good Thanksgiving break and holiday, and please, for all our sakes, be careful!
