So, I have some links I’ve had open in my web browser for a while, and I’ve been wanting to share them with someone, so I’ll just share them with you.

First up is this story of a guy that, because of a brain operation he had back in the early 1950′s, can’t remember any long term memories. Consequently, he doesn’t remember anything from day to day, and wakes up every morning thinking it’s the day after his surgery and that Harry Truman is still president. An interesting read.

Next is this company that produces laser pointers, except they’re 5 to 10+ times more powerful than your average laser pointer… powerful enough to cut things – which can be lots of fun – except they cost hundreds or thousands of dollars. But – this site has a couple videos of them cutting things and pictures of the range you get with these things.

Here have some conceptual renderings of some PS3 controllers that some Joystiq.com readers came up with. A couple are lame, but a couple are pretty innovative, so have a look.

Carrie, you were asking how to hack the WEP wireless security schema, so here you go – even how to do it with a Mac (though it looks like you need two machines)… keep in mind though, it is illegal. These methods were outlined probably to exploit the inherant problems with WEP so that it can be made more secure.

Olivo Barbieri does aerial photography and uses a tilt-shift lens (whatever that is), but the images make the world look really fake.

Ok, that’s all for now.

I’m off to Kerrville this weekend; I’m running sound for my church’s youth praise band because they’re doing a d-now in Kerrville… my first chance to run live front-of-house sound in a long time.

Be well.
