Yes, you read correctly. I’ve found a fix for email subscriptions that I can put some faith in - and it comes in the form of an online service provided by FeedBurner.com, who will now be handling all my RSS syndication, as well as the subscription emails. At least this way, if it doesn’t work, I can blame someone other than myself.

To subscribe, click the link above named “Subscribe” and submit your email address through the form there. You’ll get a verification email with a link to click, and then you’ll be golden. If you had submitted your email address for the last attempt at email subscriptions, I’ve already re-sumbitted your address (though you will still have to go through verification).

In other news - there are only 3 weeks of school left, and it scares me. This is the “halfway point.” I’ve been through 4 semesters, and supposedly I have 4 semesters left.

A real post will come later.

Songs About Jane
By Maroon 5

I’ve played this song 14 times.

So… this is what it’s like during the holidays in Abilene. I’m pretty sure I’m the only guy left on this side of the 3rd floor. And it’s eerily quiet.

Tonight I went to see Pioneer’s pageant, “Jesus: His Story… The Call.” It was great; I recommend you go see it if you can. It shows Friday night at 7:30pm, and then the last performance will be Saturday at 3pm. The set is huge, the technical side is pretty good, singing and acting are also very well done; all in all a great show.

Did I mention the dorms are quiet?

I’ve caught up on Lost the last couple nights. Since I’m a working college kid now, I miss it on Wednesday nights - but I have my sources. I won’t pretend like I’m some seasoned TV critic, but I will say that Lost is the only show I make a point of seeing. I enjoy other shows, but Lost is the only one that if I miss, something just ain’t right. Anyways… last few episodes have had some really great stuff to them, but I think I’ve found that the show loses some of it’s appeal when you watch a few episodes all at once; it loses part of the mystery - and this is the only show I think I’ve ever found this to be true with. Other shows, I’d say are better when watched “all-at-once,” but not Lost.

I’m done with chapel. Done, as in done. Finished. I never have to attend chapel again - ever. Freshmen, read this and weep.

Less than a month till we’re out for summer here (27 days, by my count), and I still don’t know what I’m going to be doing with my summer. It’s a might unsettling, since I don’t much like being a leaf on the wind with this stuff.

If you’re traveling this weekend - drive safe, please. And if you’re not traveling, why are we not hanging out?

Late

I’ve played this song 21 times.

I’m back from home. Long drive, short weekend, but worth it.

Had a good time seeing and filming my home church’s easter musical, “More Than Just A Man.” Got to use the new Canon XL-2… yeah. So that was cool (to me at least!).

Mom’s birthday was Sunday, and I enjoyed being home to spend that with her and the fam.

Glad to be back though. We have 22-23 school days (31-32 real days) left till summer. Crazy, no? Where is the time going these days…

Change is good.

Well, the site’s needed a facelift for awhile now (in my opinion), and totally redoing the design of my site is something I enjoy doing from time to time (yeah, I’m a nerd)… so here you go. The new and improved, “Lee’s Blog.”

I won’t bore you with the details, but basically, everything under the hood here has changed - and for the better. Things will be easier to manage, making life easier for me, but at the same time, I’m introducing some new and complex elements to the site, which will be fun (or at least maybe interesting) for you.

For instance, click this link. That was snazzy, no? You liked it, you know it. And I can do full image galleries using that, so look for more of that later. Coming soon will also be “widgets” on the sidebar (now on the right, instead of the left) like the little “Current News” section down there with current headlines from Newsvine.com and the list of upcoming events from my calendar at 30boxes.com, except these new ones may be showing pictures from my flickr.com account, or maybe a list of what I’ve listened to in iTunes in the last couple hours (and maybe even what I’m listening to at that very moment), etc. More nerdy fun for me there, and maybe more fun for you too.

I’ve still got some work to do though. I think I’ll probably find a way to do my rotating image banner at the top with some new images, and for now, the “Radar” page is out of commission. Not sure if any of you ever use it, but something with it and this new system don’t get along right now.

Also, if your name isn’t in my “Friends” list, and you think it should be, just let me know. If it’s not there, I promise it’s not because I’m just being a jerk, it’s probably just because I don’t have your xanga or whatever address.

I’m still working on that email notification system… not sure how that’s going to pan out. As usual let me know if you come up on anything you think is “weird,” or not behaving correctly.

In current events, I have decided that I do not like Daylight Savings Time - it should not be pitch black at 6am, nor should the sun still be this bright at 6pm. David’s friend, Adam, came to visit this weekend; good times were had, and now we have a duct-tape frisbee. It really works, I swear. I’m going home this coming weekend.

Till next time.
