I’ve played this song 13 times.

My blog is worth $564.54.
How much is your blog worth?

So it appears my little blog is worth something? That’s what the little box says, so I’ll believe it.

I am halfway done with college. Well, assuming this college thing takes me 4 years. But anyways… where did this semester go? It really seems like just the other day we were back from spring break, and just a few days before that we were back from Christmas.

And now I sit at home… job-less. The last couple summers, I’ve been blessed to have an internship at Nokia, but it just didn’t work out this summer. Not sure if that’s a blessing it itself or not yet, but it means I need to actually find a job. I’ve actually enjoyed my time at home so far. Mom has a job at the church now, as a secretary of sorts for the music department, and so I’ve pretty much had the house to myself to do laundry and watch reruns of TV shows I used to watch. Oh, and I conquered Halo 2 in about 2 and half days… go me.

I’ve seen M:i:III, and it was great. I wanted to see it, not only because it looked good, but because it was a J.J. Abrams film. You may know him from such shows as Alias, and Lost. While his work on those has been fantastic, M:i:III was his first film to write/direct, and I think he did a fantastic job. All this to point out that J.J. Abrams has taken on the task of producing/directing the next Trek movie, and I think the franchise is in good hands. Though he’s never directed Trek, or anything “sci-fi” like Trek, the best Trek films have always been the ones directed by people who had never done Trek… anyways, it’ll be interesting to see what he can do.

macbook_blk_3q 1.pngSo, Apple introduced the MacBook on Tuesday, not to be confused with the MacBook Pro, introduced a couple months ago. This new portable from Apple replaces the iBook line, as well as the 12″ PowerBook (my current laptop), since the new MacBook Pro’s only come in 15″ and 17″ sizes. The MacBook comes in one size, 13″ widescreen, and the laptop itself comes in white or black. All this means that a MacBook will most likely be my next laptop, since the 12″ PowerBook is now completely obselete, and I can’t see myself lugging a 15″ MacBook Pro around. Even though I wouldn’t have the “Pro” title, the MacBook is definitely a step up from my Powerbook in more ways than one, and it’s got me lusting bad. Must control…

Almost Done

Breakaway
Breakaway
By Kelly Clarkson

I’ve played this song 14 times.

Much has happened, some of it old news, some of it not.

Dad got a job, and starts there today. He’ll be working at Mustang Technology in Allen; they do defense work for the government, so Dad will feel “at home” there, despite the somewhat long (I think, at least) drive from Carrollton to Allen everyday.

[soapbox]
Band concert is tonight, ACO concert tomorrow; both should be great concerts. We had a total of 8 people show up to help move things from the band hall to Behren’s Chapel last night, but we really only had maybe 5 around at any given time. By the last van-load it was down to just me and Trey, so what normally takes about 30-40 minutes took us 2 hours. I can’t say it surprised me, really, but it’s still disappointing. I’m getting a little tired of people saying they’ll do something or help with something - and then totally fail to follow through. Maybe I’m expecting too much from people?
[/soapbox]

School is winding down, finally. Just gotta get a project and finals out of the way, and then I’ll be goin’ home (Carrollton) for the summer. I’ll miss those of you staying in Abilene for the summer; maybe I can come visit a couple weekends.

I woke up with bad allergies, so I took an antihistamine tablet… and now I’m real tired - so I can’t really think of anything else at the moment.
