… not a daily journal. I had thought that I would have more time to post stuff during the summer, but I think I’ve actually been busier in some ways. As such, a lot has happened.

I’m working at Nokia again this summer. I know I posted earlier that it wasn’t going to work out… long story short, it did. The work is a bit more physical this summer; moving equipment around, etc. But it came with a bit of a raise, so I can’t really complain.

Got back a couple days ago from the Cowboy Band combined Stamford Rodeo and Boston trip. We played the rodeo in Stamford, TX as usual, but only for 2 days, and then we flew to Boston to play for the 2006 Lions Clubs International Convention, where Texan Jimmy Ross was elected International President for the Lions Club International. It was a fun trip, an interesting convention, a great time with friends, an educationally rich city, there was tons of amazing food (Legal’s = amazing), and oh yeah… a horrible trip home. Because of weather delays here, there, and everywhere, the trip ended up taking plus or minus 20 hours, instead of the 8 it was supposed to (with layovers)… and instead of Boston to Atlanta to Dallas, I got my first visit to Chicago (though only for 15 minutes) between Atlanta and Dallas. Still though - a great time with friends - and I have around 800 pictures to show for it. I’ll be weeding through them in the next week or so, and then I’d like to find an easy way to distribute them to the people that want them.
