Blame It On the Boogie
Essential Michael Jackson
By Michael Jackson
I’ve played this song 4 times.
Ok, one last update before Abilene.
Flickr is here, and that means the return of real photo galleries here. You can view my photos now by clicking “Photos” up there on the nav bar, which will (I hope) take you to my photos page. You can view the pictures in a slideshow, or click through them on your own. The great thing about the new gallery is that it’s powered by Flickr – none of the pictures in the galleries are hosted on my server, they’re pulled from my Flickr account – which is saving me from the storage and bandwidth problems I’d have trying to host this kind of gallery on my site. You can also browse my photos at Flickr (link), and leave comments (much like Facebook comments on pictures) if you have a Flickr account – and since you can get one for free, why not?
Oh yeah… if you’re on the email subscription list, you may have received an email Sunday morning – except the update was from a post I wrote back in May… sorry. I don’t know what’s up with that, other than I know it’s not a problem with my site and that it’s a FeedBurner issue – which is why I started using FeedBurner in the first place – so that I can blame problems with email subscriptions on somebody else! On that note, if you’re not subscribed and you’re wondering how to do that, go check out the “Subscribe” link up there on the aforementioned nav bar.

The Very Best of Kiss

I’ve played this song 5 times.
Well, you may have noticed some changes around here. That’s because there have been some.
I won’t go into technical specifics or any of that – but this new design is awesome, and I’m still tweaking it – so if you come across something that doesn’t look quite right, let me know! Facebook, email, AIM… phone? Expect to see more Flickr integration, as I think it will be replacing any previous photo galleries, etc. I just don’t have the bandwidth or tools on my tiny (but free) hosting plan, and Flickr’s tools are really nice; I’m hoping to do some neat things with it here.
I have two more days of work left, and then I have a few days to pack, and I’ll be back in Abilene… scary. Scarier is the fact that I’m supposedly halfway through college.
I’ve determined that I don’t like itty-bitty cars. Specifically, I don’t like Nissan Sentra’s. It’s what I’m driving as a rental while my car is in the shop (somebody side-swiped me in our church parking lot, during church, and didn’t leave any information…). Anyways, if cars had human traits, this car would be like a 4-year-old struggling with ADD. I’m not sure what good it does for you to know that, but I figure that if you had to learn something today, you at least learned that I don’t like to drive small cars.
See you in Abilene.
Crap, it’s August already. Meaning that school starts in less than a month. While this excites me in the sense that I’m ready to be back in Abilene with friends… school = not so much.
The WWDC (World Wide Developers Conference) is next week, starting Monday. This means that this time next week, I’ll be busy checking out the latest Apple products. Probably no new iPods (yet), but according to Robert Scoble, “[Apple is] readying a dizzying amount of new products. I wish I could camp out at an Apple store during the World Wide Developer Conference on August 7th”. It’s odd to hear that coming from a former Microsoft evangelizer, but his brother-in-law is an employee at Apple – a far more credible source than the Apple rumor sites.
Also, be sure to check out the free music on Facebook (see last post if you’re in the dark on this). This week’s theme is “Electronica”, which may not be everybody’s cup of tea, but there’s some good tracks in there. Next week will be “Rock”.
Over and out.
